You probably didn’t know that there is an enormous sand dune near the Sea of Japan. It’s nearly 16km long! It’s like a desert, nothing but sand as far as you can see. People make a day of it and take a hike over the dunes, sometimes hopping and jumping from foot to foot as the sand gets really hot! A few adventerous people will bring their sand boards and surf the dunes. It’s really quite pretty and vast. The beach is the final destination and it’s really refreshing to cool off by swimming or surfing. The serenity of the beach makes the sandy trek well worth the effort.
